I get distracted easily. So easily that I wrote a post about it. One day recently, while trying to be productive, I got sidetracked. I must have killed a couple hours on my beloved BuzzFeed. There I found an interesting article about travel facts. Some interesting items from the article:

My friend, let’s call her Mary, once told her husband, “I’m tired of experiences; I want stuff.” Mary had it all wrong! Studies show that money spent on travel makes you happier than money spent on material goods. I have to agree with this one. Every time a plane ticket is booked or a hotel room is reserved, an excited feeling runs through me.

France covers the most time zonesWhen you consider all of the French territories worldwide, France covers 12 time zones. Runner up is the United States with 11 and Russia with 9.

Monaco is smaller than Central Park in New York City. Vatican City is smaller (.17 sq mi) than Monaco (.8 sq mi), but it doesn’t have any permanent residents. Central Park is 1.317 sq mi (almost double the size of Monaco!)

There are 61,000 people in the air over the U.S. at any given time on any given day. And I’m frequently one of them!
