Not too long ago, I started a new series on my blog called “In-Flight Delights.” With this series, I’ll share some of the wild and craziness I experience first hand while on the road.
The second In-Flight Delight happened earlier this summer. I was on an United Airlines A319 and I was flying from Austin (AUS) to San Francisco (SFO). I briefly talked about my journey in an earlier post. Because this was a last minute award booking, I was able to spend the same number of miles for a first class seat vs. a coach seat.
I had no idea what I was in store f0r.
I had just been served my first gin and tonic, some warm nuts, and was watching an episode of “Band of Brothers” on my iPad. That’s when I looked across the aisle and saw this:
Cool shoes, bro.
I cringed. Other peoples feet in public places is a pet peeve of mine. I mean, eeewwwww, right? At least this guy was on the other side of the plane AND he had his shoes on. So I ordered another GNT and went back to watching “Band of Brothers.”
After the meal service (and several rounds of Gin and Tonics), I looked up and couldn’t believe what I saw.
But it gets better.
And so it begins on this side of the plane…
Major eww. First, feet on the wall. Second, bare feet on the wall. Nasty.
Bet it gets even better.
That’s right. She was rocking out to some tunes and dancing on the bulkhead wall. WTF.
Why, why, why, why, WHY?
Why do people think that it is okay to not wear shoes on airplanes and treat planes like their home? Have you seen worse?
